Beryline Mung was born in 1954 on Texas Downs Station. She began station work at the age of 15 years. When equal wages legislation was passed and Gija people were forced off their country, Mung moved to Frog Hollow Community. Mung has lived in Frog Hollow since and raised her children there. She is now a Gija language teacher at the school and an artist at the Warmun Art Center. Mung paints her country around Frog Hollow and Texas Downs. Her older brother is established Warmun artist Patrick Mung Mung.
