To celebrate the opening of our brand new gallery space in downtown Ketchum Harvey, Art Projects proudly announces Nyuyntjaku - Keeping the Fire Alive  an exhibit the showcases enior and emerging artists from Ernabella Arts have worked side by side to bring this exhibition of exciting new work together. In 2018 Ernabella Arts celebrates its 70th anniversary. As Australia’s oldest Indigenous art centre this is a history that the artists are incredibly proud of and committed to continuing. Their work continues to share their culture and their Tjukurpa as it has done for generations. The young and emerging artists in this exhibition, namely Rachael Mipantjiti Lionel, Langaliki Lewis, Derek Jungarrayi Thompson and Elizabeth Dunn have taken up the responsibility of stoking the incredibly long-burning fire that is Ernabella Arts. They have demonstrated that despite the art centre’s age it still has young blood and plenty of stories to yet to tell. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
